SWAMP Band (Jazz Ensemble) – High School Football Game (Friday, September 23, 20

Football game info: VCHS vs Vacaville High School.
Kickoff: 7:30 pm

Call time and location: 5:30 pm in G144 for setup,
Performance location: VCHS track, near the 30 yard line,
Performance times: 6:30 pm to approx. 9:00 pm
Dress: Black top and jeans. Be sure to bring a jacket for the cool weather.
Music: SWAMP band music

Finish time:

  • No one can leave until dismissed by Mr. G.
  • Everyone must help with tear-down, which includes taking everything back down to room 144G and putting everything away.

Jazz Ensemble – Activities for week of 9/12/2011

High School Open House (Thursday, September 15, 2011)

Call time and location:  2:45 pm in G144 for setup
Performance location:  VCHS Main Gym
Performance times:

  • Set 1:  3:30 pm to 3:59 pm
  • Set 2:  6:30 pm to 6:59 pm

Dress:  All black
Music:

  • C Factor
  • Someone to watch over me
  • Mantecca
  • Some SWAMP music

Finish time:

  • No one can leave until dismissed by Mr. G. (hopefully around 7:30 pm)
  • Everyone must help with tear-down, which includes putting away all equipment, music, etc. into room G144
  • Important items to bring:
  • Everyone MUST bring their homework to work on between sets!!
  • Bring your own dinner and water.

 

SWAMP band High School Football Game (Friday, September 16, 2011)

Football game info:  VCHS vs Cardinal Newman High School.  Kickoff at 7:30 pm
Call time and location:  5:30 pm in G144 for setup
Performance location:  VCHS track, near the football 30 yard line
Performance times:  6:30 pm to approx. 9:00 pm
Dress:  Black top and jeans.  Be sure to bring a jacket for the cool weather.
Music:  SWAMP band music
Finish time:

  • No one can leave until dismissed by Mr. G.
  • Everyone must help with tear-down, which includes taking everything back down to room 144G and putting everything away.

 

We will greatly appreciate any parents who can help.  If possible, we could really use the following:

  • Approximately 5 parents for band setup and tear down (you don’t have to attend the game),
  • Approimately 5 parents to help feed the SWAMP band during halftime (just need help transporting the food).
  • Please let Mrs. Pritchett know as soon as possible if you can help.
  • Students who are in both SWAMP band and marching band, we are currently working on transportation to get you from Valley to Gonzales.  Mrs. Pritchett will let you know as soon as this is finalized.
